Heatley Bitch!

That's right ....6'4 224lbs, 2x 100 point scorer is now rumored to be a part of the San Jose Sharks. In a deal that sends Marleau to LA, and Frolov and Stoll to the Sens we look to kill the post season cancer the has grown on us for the last two seasons. Any season ticket holders wondering why Marleau was not pictured on your tickets...now you know. Thanks for the good times now fuck off to LA. Wondering why Nabby was not on the tix either? Correspondent Godzilla has assured me of another possible trade with Boston(no fuck Tim Thomas) for a possible back up goalie to make sure Nabby gets it done this final contract year...or hit the fuckin road too. No one is safe, I have no more love until you fucking redeem yourselves.

Stanley Cup Finals

OK, I'm making a brief appearance. Don't expect many more until next season.

It's rematch time!

I was already rooting for the Eastern Conference once the Sharks were unceremoniously removed from the playoff proceedings. Problem is, I was all about the Hurricanes. That (obviously) didn't work out so well...

I have to say, though, that this year's Pens are not the same as last year's Pens. I must give credit to Sidney "Sack Puncher" Crosby and Evgeni "Cro-Magnon" Malkin for their dominant play in these series.

I don't know how long Nick Lidstrom is going to be out, but I honestly don't give a shit. I hate the Red Wings. They are the Dallas Cowboys of the NHL. They can go fuck themselves in some creative train formation. "Hockeytown" is a real shithole and getting worse. Their fans don't know when to sit down. On TV broadcasts from "The Joe", I see more people moving around in the stands than I see play on the ice...

Shit is still shit any way you slice it.

FUCK DETROIT!!!

LET'S GO PENS!!!

p.s. I was gonna include some witty links, but I'm too lazy (and bitter) right now.

WCQF Game 6

Monday, Apr. 27 @ 7:30, TV: CSN-BA

They hate us.

We hate them.

Blocking a shot may be the difference between reaching Game 7 and reaching for your putter. Making a save might be the difference between attaining greatness or maintaining sameness. Firing the puck may be the difference between taking the lead or taking the loss.

Leave it all on the ice, boys...

WCQF Game 3

Tuesday, Apr. 21 @ 7:30, TV: Versus (HD)

Look, things got (admittedly) a bit ridiculous last season when we were invoking the power of 33 in the series against Dallas...

Nevertheless, I will quote David Pollak for a little perspective on where the Sharks stand at the moment:
Overall, only 12.7 percent of the 291 NHL teams that have trailed 2-0 in a seven-game series have come back to win it. That number nearly doubles to 24.4 percent, however, in the 66 instances where a team lost its first two games at home — a sign that the higher-seeded team has a better chance of reversing its course.

This is obviously not an ideal situation to be in, but I still believe that things will turn around beginning tonight. If the Sharks continue trending upward in the effectiveness of their play, the Ducks will have no answer. We have to expect that Anaheim will receive a little home cooking when it comes to officiating, which makes scoring on the reduced number of power play chances especially important. At least the seal has been broken on even strength scoring. If there's one bit of advice the Sharks need to pay attention to, it's "aim high on Hiller!". He covers everything down low. He's got trouble with high shots. Take advantage of this!

The funny thing is, if we had split the first two games and lost tonight, we would not be freaking out so badly. So if we win tonight (which I fully expect) we're 1-2 and things are not looking so grim. That's the approach we need to take...

LET'S GO SHARKS!!!

WCQF Game 2

Sunday, Apr. 19 @ 7:00, TV: CSN-BA (HD (I don't care, I'll be there!))

I don't have a hell of a lot to say in advance of Game 2 between the Sharks and the Ducks that hasn't already been said all over the internet...

Just one simple piece of advice for our boys in teal:

Heidi and I will be representin' up in 206. Dano will be over in 203. Coop will be wherever he usually is...

Let's get this thing done...

LET'S GO SHARKS!

In case you haven't yet noticed, I added some links to the right sidebar recently.

The "Stuff You Want" section will be a permanent location for any relevant downloads. I will update schedules with scores and times and replace the previous version as necessary.

I also added the "Enemy Propaganda" section with links to the opposing team's official news and blogs, mainstream media news and blogs and fan blogs if available. This will also be updated as necessary.

KNBR Interviews, WCQF Game 1

I'm feelin' kinda gassed after yesterday's game. That first playoff game at the Tank is always a doozy. It's hard for me to fall asleep, let alone sleep well after that experience.

I'm not pissed about the outcome, just a wee bit disappointed. I'm not worried, though, Sunday will be a better day!

Anyway, here are some links for your listening pleasure:

The Hockey Gods Have Smiled Upon Us

Now I'm not normally one to gloat over things like this, but this is just too good to be true...

As I was making my way home up the 101, what did I spy with my little eye just before the Embarcadero exit? That's right, something beginning with D. As in duck. A dead duck, laid out smack dab between the second and third lanes.

When was the last time you saw duck roadkill?

Squirrels? Of course...

Dogs? Cats? Sadly, it happens...

This could have been nothing other than a sign of things to come for the Anaheim Ducks in the Western Conference Quarterfinals. I'm cool with that!

Interview with Blake

I wasn't sure if everyone saw this interview on NHL.com with Blake.

Murray is a double fister

I found this little gem online, this was post playoffs last year....might explain the double buds.  In 16 games, they'll be drinking those beers out of a very large "Cup".

There was a little more distasteful picture of Murray after about 20 more beers which I will leave offline.  It is currently blown up, laminated, and hanging above my fireplace....

WCQF Schedule

This may be the only "value-add" that More Teeth Than You can provide over every other Sharks blog on the interwebs:

Sharks vs. Ducks Schedule

Print this out and stick it up in your work box (i.e. cubicle). Or your bathroom (if that's where you normally conduct "your business")...

All times and channels are strictly Bay Area. Feel free to break out your favorite Sharpie® and modify as necessary. Sorry 'bout the TBDs, but I can only work with what they give me...

The Hockey Song

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

No, I don't mean tax season!

In hono(u)r of the beginning of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, I present to you: Stompin' Tom Connors' classic, enhanced with 110% effort!

Hanson Brothers/Nomeansno rule, btw...

Get used to it.

Finally!

The first true Battle of California since the Oakland Seals played the Los Angeles Kings way-y-y back in the day...

A few thoughts:

Regular season series results: Sharks 4-2. Probably would've been 5-1 if it wasn't for the previously documented sewer breath in the second to last meeting...

Corey "Crybaby" Perry will have our killer power play on the ice more often than not. Unless he gets suspended at some point. That wouldn't be much of a surprise. Chris "Stompy" Pronger has his own history of League-imposed vacations during the playoffs, so perhaps he'll step out for a game or two for old times' sake. Lack of discipline, check!

We can likely count on Teemu Selanne to miss a critical wraparound goal at some point.

This series should be a doozy!

See you Thursday, Quacks!

Why can't Sharkie do a cool commercial like this?

RSS Update

I don't know how many of you (if any) are using an RSS reader to access the blog, but if you are, I updated the link (see sidebar). I wasn't happy with the frequency of updates in my reader, so I ran the site through FeedBurner. It is my understanding that things will have more of Teh Snappy™ from here on out. We shall see...

This comes in anticipation of more traffic during the playoffs, because I'll be notifying Fear the Fin and others about our humble little existence and, who knows, people might like it!

So, anyway, update your links as necessary.

Home Ice Advantage

Pickles nails it:
You're starting every series at home, where you can show the other team you're ready to play. That's huge.
I don't care about Game 7s. We don't want to be involved in Game 7s. The Sharks have the capability to set the tone in every series. And we, as fans, have the opportunity to blow the roof off The Tank early and get in the other teams' heads! That is what's important!

16 wins to go...

Next Up: Sharks @ Kings

Saturday, Apr. 11 @ 1:00, TV: CSN-BA

Here we are. Game 82. End of the regular season. The Sharks have the one seed locked up in the Western Conference playoffs; all that remains to be determined is if they can grab the Presidents' Trophy and stick it in the back of some closet at HP Pavilion. A win guarantees it no matter what Boston does in their last two games.

As for our Western Conference Quarterfinals dance partner, it could be St. Louis, Anaheim or even Columbus. If the BJs get one point out of their last game, they lock up #6. The situation with the Ducks and Blues is more fluid, depending on what all three of these teams do in their final contest.

Despite feeling a little under-appreciated, I still feel good about the Sharks against the Kings today. I mean, 16-63? That's downright putrid! Wait a second, something's wrong here...

Jumbo Joe gets a triple-double, Lil' Joe shoots 95% from the free throw line and the Sharks win this one going away.

Go Sharks!

Next Up: Sharks vs. Coyotes

Thursday, Apr. 9 @ 7:30, TV: CSN-BA (HD (I don't care, I'll be there!))

After minimal internal debate, I figured that I could get away with skipping any weak ass recap of the Avs game and just post this:

That pretty much sums it all up. I'm amazed that I was able to wake up this morning after enduring that snoozefest. Fortunately, these individual skills competitions have no place in deciding real sports' playoffs. (Yes, that was absolutely a dig at soccer!)

So...

The magic number for the Sharks sits at 2 for the best record in the League and the $350K (Canadian) which the team will receive (and likely donate to a "reading is fundamental" program). [It appears that it is impossible to locate the Jeff Friesen G.O.A.L.S. commercial online. Rats!]

Just one point will win the Western Conference for San Jose.

The Coyotes are better than the Avalanche, but not by much. Cap'n Repro will apparently be back, as will everybody's favorite Newfie. These are good things. Add in the fact that we're gonna get free shit for Fan Appreciation Night, and it should be good times all around! (Seriously, it's gonna be hard to top those fleece blankets from last season. If they hand out fucking towels I will wipe my ass with mine.)

I am so ready to wrap it up and get going with the playoffs. I actually just considered blowing up the Staples Center so that the out-of-the-playoffs Kings would forfeit our last game and we could just wait for our WCQF matchup to be decided...

Go Sharks!

p.s. I used the old Coyotes logo because... it really sucks.

Next Up: Sharks vs. Avalanche

The Avalanche suck Abominable Snowman balls. The Sharks do not. Under no circumstances should San Jose lose this game. That much I know.

Next Up: Sharks @ Ducks

Sunday, Apr. 5 @ 5:00, TV: CSN-BA (HD (Yays!))

I am going to attribute last night's performance by the Sharks to the guy sitting next to me up in Section 206. This guy had breath that would knock a buzzard off a shit wagon! I mean, it was as if a family of squirrels had crawled down his throat and choked to death on their own fecal matter... a month ago! HORRIBLE.

So, yeah, that's probably why the Sharks played the way they did. That, and the fact that I don't think Cyrus ever showed up. Section 201, Row 6, orange hat? Helllloooo?!?

Taking all of that into account, I predict a much better performance by our guys down in Anaheim.

Go Sharks!

Next Up: Sharks vs. Ducks

Saturday, Apr. 4 @ 7:00, TV: CSN-BA (HD (I don't care, I'll be there!))

Preview of Western Conference Quarterfinals or just an opportunity to send the Ducks to the golf links? There's a lot hanging in the balance with these back-to-back games. Anaheim's playing like they belong in the playoffs, San Jose's pacing the league despite the makeshift roster...

Hmmmm, where's my 12 gauge? It's time to go Duck hunting!

Go Sharks!

Thursday, April 2, 2009

Keep 'em comin'...

Tonight's victory would have been more decisive were it not for some blatant home cooking from the officials. I mean jeezus, what standard do these zebras live up to? Diving on Pavelski? Gimme a freakin' break! That sequence of events pretty much gifted a goal to Edmonton. Had that never happened, I think we'd be looking at a 3 goal differential (at worst) favoring San Jose.

Nevertheless, Detroit lost their third in a row at home to the Blues, putting them six points back of the Sharks with five games remaining. Unless Detroit wins out and San Jose puts Landon and Brody Marleau in the lineup down the stretch (think Sedins, just a wee bit smaller), the Sharks should have the West wrapped up. The Bruins are pushing hard after a collective brainfart had everyone thinking that the Devils or Capitals would steal the number one seed in the East. They sit 3 points back of the Sharks in the race for the Presidents' Trophy with five games remaining as well.

I think we can wipe the Oilers' blood off the standings board and get ready to smear some Duck juice in its stead this weekend. The home-and-home series will be the last serious challenge of the regular season, might be a first round preview and certainly will not be easy games...

BRING. IT. ON.

Next Up: Sharks @ Flames

Monday, Mar. 30 @ 6:30, TV: CSN-BA

The Sharks set out on a two game tour of Alberta beginning with a stop in Calgary. Our old buddies the Flames are in a pretty scrappy battle to keep the 3rd seed in the Western Conference. What appeared as a lock for a large portion of the season is now a tenuous hold at best, with the hard charging 'Nucks only a point behind for the lead in the Northwest Division, plus the 'Hawks sniffing that 3rd spot with 91 points as well. Olli Jokinen has cooled off considerably since a 5 point outburst against the Mighty Leafs and the team as a whole is 4-6-0 over their last ten games. Suffice it to say, they're gonna want this one.

The boys in teal are just as banged up as in the last game, but this time Captain Reproduction is out with a lower body boo boo. He'll be at home playing with newborn Brody (seriously, Brody? WTF?). Hopefully Cheech can make it into the lineup tonight. I'm kinda sick of watching the Worcester Sharks, to be honest. Except for that McGinn kid. He can stick around. The Flames' physical style of play is one of their trademarks, so let's try to get out of this game without any more wounded, mmmkay?

Let me take this moment to congratulate the Sharks on setting a franchise record with 109 points so far. There's another 14 points out there to grab; let's go get 'em!

Go Sharks!

Next Up: Sharks vs. Coyotes

Saturday, Mar. 28 @ 7:30, TV: CSN-BA (HD (Yays!))

Here we go again. Rematch between the top and the bottom of the Pacific Division, this time on home ice. Hopefully we can pick up those two points the Red Wings left on the table last night. It'd help if one or two of our seventeen injured players made it back into the lineup. (OK, seventeen's a bit of an exaggeration, but sometimes it sure feels like that many.)

Let's see more of this:

and less of this:

Ahhhh Clowe, how can I NOT dream about you....

Next Up: Sharks @ Predators

Thursday, Mar. 26 @ 5:00, TV: CSN-BA

That was a wild ride last night, eh? I guess you could say we really didn't deserve that point, but hey, we'll take it!

OK, brass tacks. If the Sharks get just one point against Nashville, we will have equaled Detroit's output over our 73rd and 74th games, but get one point ahead in the standings...

ONE POINT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

That's it from me. It's early, it's my birthday and I'll be lucky if I can get out of work in time to catch the start of today's game.

Next Up: Sharks @ Blackhawks

Wednesday, Mar. 25 @ 5:30, TV: CSN-BA+

The Sharks are on the road again for their last regular season tilt against the 'Hawks. Unlike those bums from Colorado, this team has a plethora of up-and-coming talent. On the other hand, going 3-5-2 in your last ten games with a win streak of one game is no reason to start sucking each other's dicks. Looks like a young team slumping at the wrong time...

The Sharks will be without Captain Reproduction for at least this game, but it sounds like J.R. might be back in the lineup. I worry about the old man. He slings a mean shaving cream pie, but those wings just ain't what they used to be. Let's hope one doesn't fall off if he does play. We'll need him in the post-season.

On a positive note, the Woostah kids that are up to fill in for the injured aren't killing us and all this live bullet action they're getting doesn't hurt one bit when one of our regulars goes down in the playoffs. Gotta have depth. Even shrimpy depth (5'8", my ass)...

The Blackhawks won't catch Detroit, Columbus probably won't catch Chicago, so they're fighting for the 3, 4 or 5 slot. I guess there's some motivation there, but it ain't as much as trying to maintain home ice throughout. The Wings just finished off a comeback against Edmonton, so they are back in the points lead, yet we have a game in hand.

Ready for more standings ping pong?

Go Sharks!

Next Up: Sharks vs. Avalanche

Sunday, Mar. 22 @ 5:00, TV: CSN-BA (HD (Yays!))

What is an avalanche?

My dictionary tells me that it is "a mass of snow, ice, and rocks falling rapidly down a mountainside".

The 08-09 NHL season tells me that it is a mass of underperforming players, ex-Sharks-player-turned-retread-enemy-coach-on-the-hotseat, and snowblower-accident-having-captain falling rapidly down the Western Conference standings.

Did I mention that Avalanche is a shitty nickname for a pro sports team? What is this, the fuckin' WNBA? I might be able to roll with it if Cammi Granato was coach...

I don't think we need to dwell on this. Avs lose in regulation.

Section 212 will be in the house. 'Nuf said.

Next Up: Sharks vs. Stars

Saturday, Mar. 21 @ 1:00, TV: CSN-BA (HD (Yays!))

Ugh, these douche nozzles again?

Dallas is sitting at 11th in the Western Conference, 3 points back of our buddies the 8th place Prediturds (thanks Coop) with a game in hand. They keep making flippy floppy with Anusheim for 2nd best in the Pacific Division. Or is it next worst? 28 points is a large divide, my friends. No matter, these fargin' iceholes always play us tough.

What I'd like to see is a solid win by the boys in teal (by at least 2 goals) with a little side order of Staubby feeding Ott a knuckle sandwich Ă  la Tootoo.

Go Sharks!

Next Up: New Logo vs. Old Logo

I hate to say it, but I didn't like the current Sharks logo when it was revealed. It's too "Dark Knight" (i.e. comic bookish), I thought...

When you put it up against the original now, though, eesh, that original looks dated...

Bigtime.

In any case, I'd like to see the full shark logo as our primary. The triangle is a waste of eyeball time:

Go Full Shark Logo!

The infamous Pavelski Headbutt

So this was uploaded by a non-sharks fan, I'd assume a stars fan, so he super slo-mo's the "incident".  The guy who uploaded the video claimed it was a headbutt, but not intent to injure.  The youtube comments are funny.  Load of crap.

Can we get a Staubitz V. Ott at the next Stars match?  That guys been asking for a nice ass kicking.

Next Up: Sharks vs. Predators

Thursday, Mar. 19 @ 7:30, TV: CSN-BA (HD (Yays!))

The Preds are coming to town after losing in Anaheim the previous night. The Sharks are laying (lying? shit, I dunno) in wait after a day off the ice and in an all hands meeting...

Maybe this is the meeting where they're all "OK, guys, we've been playing this deceptive sloppy style on purpose long enough, let's bust out the big guns again." Or not.

Maybe Setoguchi played a wicked game of badminton to clear his mind after the meeting and pulls a hat trick outta his ass in this matchup. Or not.

Maybe the refs don't make cheesedick interference calls that hose the Sharks at the end of the game. Or not.

Game on Sharkies. Game on...

Next Up: Sharks @ Coyotes

Tuesday, Mar. 17 @ 7:00, TV: CSN-BA+

Let's face it, the Coyotes suck. They are in rebuilding mode with no cash to rebuild with. It's a pretty sorry state of affairs for one grossly overpaid coach who also happens to be one of the best hockey players of all time.

Tough shit, O Great One!

The Desert Dogs poop their beds and the Sharks regain their scoring touch in one fell swoop. I'm thinking 3 goal differential at the end of regulation...

Next Up: Sharks @ Blues

Thursday, Mar. 12 @ 5:30, TV: FSN-BA+

Look out, we may have a trap game here, and I'm not starting a discussion about defensive strategies. The Blues are 3 points out of the 8th seed in the Western Conference and every game is a playoff game for them from here on out. All three games between these teams have been decided by one goal including one overtime contest. These pesky Bluenotes should not be overlooked! I think it'll be another tight game, but we win and St. Louis sings a song of pain.

Don't Panic

Good, brief thread going on here: Sharks Hockey Analysis

I think every freakin' Sharks fan on the face of the planet is confronting the current situation with a mix of bewilderment/reality check.

Let's all settle down.

We know that the Sharks did not lose their skills overnight. They are still bad ass. Several key players are out/getting healthy for the playoffs. I also have a hunch that McLellan is holding back some crazy secret moves that the Sharks will unlock come playoff time. We're talking dangerous!

Look. Either they fold under adversity now and don't advance past round 1, or they realize that if things follow this particular route during the playoffs, they will be toast. As professional athletes, I think they know the direction to follow is clear. It's hard to self-motivate when a 1st or 2nd seed is all but guaranteed so soon. (At least that's what I've heard.)

If they lose to Minny tomorrow, though, I think I shall break something. That may include my wrists when I go bare knuckles on the heavy bag again...

GO SHARKS!

Good Podcast

If you're looking for a hockey podcast to listen to, the Puck Podcast does a pretty damned good job. It's a weekly general interest NHL show that makes for good background noise and sharpens your knowledge of what's going on across the league.

Sharks quick quiz

I know its like 2 weeks old, but it still cool.

Ha!

What is a headbutt?

Meet the new Sharks...

...not the same as the "old" Sharks.

I present Travis Moen and Kent Huskins:

Update:
Moen rings Shea Weber's bell.
Huskins beats Osgood. (Poor video quality, sorry.)

I'm dumping the Merc widget.

Y'all know where to find this news. If you don't, you're not paying attention, anyway.

I'll continue to link to Pollak's blog and the main articles if especially informative or interesting. Just trying to eliminate some redundancy here.

Sharks Acquire Huskins and Moen from Anaheim

We give up G Timo Pielmeier, C Nick Bonino and a conditional pick.
Dougie does it again.

Kyle McLaren to Philly for a 6th Round Pick

Just heard it on TSN.

Long live that hip check, buddy. We miss it.

Calgary's Loading Up

They get Olli Jokinen and Jordan Leopold. Look out for these bastards come playoff time.

No matter. We'll kick their asses anyway...

Eat a Bag of Dicks: Officials

I'm not one to rip on officiating all too often, but Justin St. Pierre and Kelly Sutherland can (say it with me now) eat a bag of dicks!

By all accounts, the 5 minute headbutt with intent to injure penalty and game misconduct assessed to Little Joe were purely figments of their imagination. This was a turning point in the game and the whistles were a bit too frequent and fallacious after that point in time. Just sayin'...

On the other hand, what was definitely awesome was when Jody Shelley checked a Star into Mike Cvik and the linesman ended up across the laps of 5 or 6 Sharks on the bench. The dude is 6' 9"! Gigantor!

Interview with Cheech prior to the game

Sharks make deadline move for big BM.

SAN JOSE – San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the team has signed unrestricted free agent forward Brandon Mashinter to an entry-level contract. In keeping with club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Mashinter, a 20-year old left wing, is currently playing for the Belleville Bulls of the Ontario Hockey League, where he was acquired via trade from the Kitchener Rangers in December. The six-foot-four, 232-pound native of Bradford, Ontario has posted 53 points (30 goals, 23 assists) in 47 games, with a plus-nine rating and 67 penalty minutes. “We are very pleased to be able to add a player of Brandon’s caliber to our organization,” said Wilson. “Brandon’s career has really blossomed this season and he deserves a lot of credit, along with Belleville General Manager and Head Coach George Burnett.
This guy is fucking huge, young and he produces... well, in the OHL at least. Let's see what he can do in the big show.

Also from the Sharks…
SAN JOSE – San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forwards Brad Staubitz and Lukas Kaspar from the Worcester Sharks, the team’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.

Ott suspended for eye gouging....his douchiness seems to never end

DALLAS (AP) — Stars center Steve Ott was suspended indefinitely by the NHL on Sunday after he received a penalty for attempting to injure Anaheim's Travis Moen at the end of a game one day earlier.

Ott missed Sunday's home game against Pittsburgh and won't be eligible to play until after a hearing with league officials that will determine a specific length of the ban.

Ott and Moen squared off in a fight after the final horn sounded in Anaheim's 4-3 victory Saturday over Dallas. Ott's hand made contact with Moen's eye, which game officials ruled was an eye-gouge and gave him a match penalty for attempting to injure.

Ott left the ice with two cuts on his face.

The bout ensued after Ott cross-checked Ducks defenseman Scott Niedermayer during the final seconds of the game. Once time ran out, Anaheim goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere whacked Ott in the knee with his stick and punched Ott behind the head.

Moen saw Ott involved with Giguere and began punching Ott, who has a broken bone in his right hand and can't punch back. Ott said the eye-gouging was an accident.

The incident will be reviewed Monday by league disciplinarian Colin Campbell, who will determine the length of the Stars agitator's suspension.

"Steve Ott does what he does," Ducks coach Randy Carlyle said Saturday. "He gets into those situations and that's what happens."

Separated at Birth: Jody Shelley & Dominic West

Heidi and I started watching the first season of The Wire on DVD today and I could not help but notice the striking resemblance between Jody Shelley and Dominic West, who plays the role of officer James McNulty. Just break his nose a few times then mash up his lips and Bob's your uncle!

Any takers?

Preview: Sharks @ Habs

Saturday, Feb. 28 @ 4:00, TV: CSN-BA

The Sharks finish off their four game road trip in Montréal on Saturday. The Canadiens played to a 4-3 overtime victory over Philly tonight. 63:21 minutes of hockey. Yup. I didn't watch or listen. I have no opinion. All I know is that their asses will be more tired than ours tomorrow. Unless the Kostitsyn brothers can score some crank in time for faceoff. Then it's all up in the air. If they end up wearing these unis, we're hosed.

Les Habitants lose 4-2. Goals by Patty, Clowie, Boyler and Pepe. Happy centenary fuckers!

p.s. I would like to suggest that any links to news which we post do not originate from ESPN. Fuck them and their pay-per-view "insider" bullshit. Yahoo! has pretty much the same content without the shitty attitude. Mickey Mouse doesn't know much about sports anyway...
